Luis 'Baboon' Palomino made BKFC history when he became the organization's first ever double champ, holding belts in both the lightweight and welterweight divisions. The Peruvian striker began his combat sports career as an MMA fighter earning 15 wins by knockout and held a 26-17 professional record from 2006-2019.

Since deciding to take off the gloves at BKFC 10, Palomino has looked superhuman as he sits at the top of the men's pound for pound rankings while holding a 9-0 record. He hasn't taken easy fights on his way up by any means either. We have seen dominant wins over Elvin Brito twice along with Dat Nguyen, James Lilley, Tom Shoaff and a slew of other BKFC headliners. It's safe to say that we are witnessing something truly special in the world of bare-knuckle fighting any time 'Baboon' steps into the Squared Circle.

Growing up rough on the streets of Peru, he gives all his credit to hard work. Ironically what has likely separated Palomino from the rest of the lightweight pack, is his ability to work so smartly. In nearly all of his fights, Palomino throws less than his opponent, while often times landing at a higher percentage and doing the far more damage. Often times, he is putting on a striking clinic with excellent head movement, confusing footwork and lightning speed hands.

Palomino has not only set himself apart in bare-knuckle fighting, but he's also earned some high praise in the past with his fights against UFC legend and future hall of famer Justin Gaethje, along with some impressive showings in promotions like Bellator, World Series of Fighting and Absolute Championship.

On top of having impeccable striking and toughness, Luis Palomino is also a BJJ black belt awarded by Daniel Valverde.

In Palomino's personal life, you will see him spending free time with family and friends while touring the world alongside his wife and showing off his massive belt collection he's acquired throughout the years. He's also an avid dog lover as seen on his Instagram and despite being a killer in any ring he steps into, he's got a soft spot in his heart for his loved ones.

Look forward to some beautiful violence anytime 'Baboon' sets foot in the Squared Circle!
