Zach Pannell is ready to win big with BKFC at Mohegan Sun

May 21, 2025

The Pennsylvania fighter is prepared to return to his winning ways in Conncticut

Zach Pannell has never backed down from a fight.

He enters the Squared Circle for the fifth time against Rico DiSciullo on June 14 at the legendary Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT, LIVE worldwide on The BKFC App.

Pannell burst onto the scene with a first-round stoppage victory in his BKFC debut in January, 2024. Competing against elite BKFC talent like Travis Thompson and the unbeaten Chad Lucanas, Pannell has been on the losing end of his three BKFC fights since his triumphant premiere with the organization.

Some fighters in a similar position might decide that BKFC isn’t for them, but the 31-year-old Lancaster, PA product is doubling down with the world's fastest growing combat sports promotion.

“I just love the thrill of being scared and forcing yourself to rise to the occasion under the bright lights. That’s why I came to BKFC in the first place, and I couldn’t be more excited to get back in there,” he says.

“In the past, it’s been my mental state that’s driven me to stop,” he adds. “I’ve had a lot of hardships and challenges that I’ve had to overcome, and I’m excited to overcome (my losing streak) and get back to winning again.”

Pannell is eager to share the Squared Circle with another rising star in the unbeaten DiSciullo.

“They wanted me to take an easier fight, but I wanted to be on this card because I have a daughter coming in July. They put out Rico’s name and I jumped at the opportunity,” he says.

“This is a big challenge. People are looking at me as the underdog, but we’re going to go out there and shock the world.”
