Tony "Loco" Soto hunting for gold, redemption in BKFC Texas headliner

May 28, 2025

The North Carolina fighter is hungry to make right the only loss of his BKFC career

A shot at redemption is waiting for Tony “Loco” Soto in Texas.

In one of the most highly anticipated rematches in BKFC history, Soto will once again share the Squared Circle with Franco Tenaglia with gold on the line in the Main Event of BKFC 76 on June 21 at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, TX, LIVE worldwide on DAZN.

Soto and Tenaglia first met in October in the Main Event of BKFC's hugely anticipated Spain debut on DAZN. With the vacant BKFC World Lightweight Title at stake, Tengalia edged out Soto for the razor-close, majority decision victory.

“This fight is going to be proof that through hard work, and not being deterred by what the judges think, you can accomplish anything in this sport,” Soto says.

“I’m going to go in there and have fun.”

The Hickory, NC fighter hasn’t taken his foot off the gas since October — and he insists he isn’t leaving The Lonestar State without the belt around his waist.

“I’m going to wear and tear this man down — I’m going to shred him up,” Soto says when asked how the rematch will differ from the first installment overseas.

“I’m going to outwork him,” he adds. “My cardio is even better than last time, and I threw 94 punches in the fifth round in our first fight, which is unheard of.”

Soto is working tirelessly to leave this fight out of the hands of the judges.

“I’m going to end it in the fourth round because I’m going to be outworking him from the beginning,” Soto says. “I’m going to chop him down like a tree, and I’m going to have fun doing it.”
