There was no way that BKFC was returning to Sturgis, SD without Taylor “Killa Bee” Starling on the card.

Last summer at BKFC 63, Starling’s and Britain Hart’s five-round, Main Event showdown for the BKFC World Women’s Strawweight Title stole the show at the promotion's premiere at the legendary annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

“I know everybody is going to be excited to see me there again; I feel like I’m about to be BKFC’s Queen of Sturgis,” the personable Starling offers with a laugh.

“Sturgis is going to be my place now, and that makes me happy. They’re going to expect me every year, and I’m not going to let anybody down.”

You guessed it: Starling will be front and center in BKFC's highly anticipated summertime return to Sturgis. She enters the Squared Circle for the ninth time against Shelby Cannon (1-0) on Aug. 2, once again at the iconic Buffalo Chip Campground.

Fans have long loved watching Starling throw down in the Squared Circle. Recently they’ve got the opportunity to see the former World Title challenger spread her wings as a part of the BKFC broadcast team, providing excellent pre-fight content and serving as a roving reporter on the BKFC 75 fight night broadcast.

Starling is enjoying her new gig and she’s definitely a natural. More importantly, she feels her time behind the mic will pay dividends in the Squared Circle.

“Now that I’m interviewing fighters and I get to be ringside on a more regular basis, it’s really given me a unique perspective and I think it’s going to be a very different feeling when I walk out there for my next fight,” she says. 

“I think having the opportunity to speak with fighters — the best fighters in the world — is really going to give me an edge in my own fighting career.”
