Francesco Ricchi is preparing for his first fight since December — but it isn’t like he hasn’t been busy.
The former BKFC World Middleweight Champion owns a bustling restoration shop, a successful logistics company and a growing yacht management agency.
The ambitious Ricchi has a simple explanation for why he’s never turned down a fight with BKFC when it certainly doesn’t seem like he needs another gig.
“It’s just fun, and I love the competition,” he offers.
“When you’re fighting, it’s difficult because you have to keep your composure and stay calm in the middle of war, essentially. You’ve got somebody in there trying to take your head off, but you have to make logical decisions, and I love that challenge.”
Ricchi is 6-2 in the Squared Circle, with all but two of the Italian-born Fort Lauderdale, FL product’s victories coming by stoppage. He’s eager to add another accolade to his impressive resume against Dallas Davison (3-3) when they do battle on Saturday at BKFC 78, LIVE worldwide on The BKFC App from the iconic Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, FL.
Ricchi loves the sport, and he’s driven to once again hold a BKFC World Championship belt. He hopes to fight several more times before the end of 2025. But for now, he’s just focused on the task at hand.
“It’s going to be a knockout,” he says when asked for a prediction for his return to the Squared Circle on Saturday. “It’s going to be a knockout, 100-percent.”
