Francesco Ricchi carries Italian flag with pride to BKFC Squared Circle

June 16, 2022

Francesco Ricchi carries the Italian flag with pride.

Ricchi was born in Naples, Italy. Although he moved to the United States with his family when he was seven years old, he’s very proud of his Italian roots, and tries to make it back to his country of origin as much as possible.

“I’ve adapted to the American culture, of course, but I still feel very much Italian inside,” the 28-year-old Fort Lauderdale, FL fighter says. “Everything that makes our culture great, I still keep that near and dear to my soul every day.”.

Ricchi also brings his Italian heritage with him to the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship Squared Circle every time he competes. Now, he wants to bring BKFC to his home country.

Headlining the first BKFC event in ‘Bel Paese’ is more than a dream for Ricchi.

“It’s not a dream,” he insists. “It’s going to happen.”

But first, Ricchi is preparing for his BKFC 26 Co-Main Event battle with Uly “Monster” Diaz (3-1). Ricchi and Diaz will clash for the Interim BKFC Middleweight Championship on June 24 in Hollywood, FL, LIVE on the new BKFC app.

Ricchi is 4-0 heading into his fifth BKFC battle. The judges have only been needed once in his exciting bare knuckle fighting career, and he expects more of the same in Hollywood, FL.

“One of us is getting knocked out,” he says. “The way we fight, I definitely don’t see this one going the distance.”

Set your calendars: Our next action-packed event, BKFC 26, goes down June 24 in Hollywood, FL. Tickets are still available. As always, you can catch all the action on the new BKFC app.
