Fighting out of Scotland, Sean Weir had a single amateur MMA fight to his name before first toeing the line in September of 2025. He tried to fight more but bouts kept getting canceled and he stepped into the Squared Circle with less experience than he would like but he was up for the challenge against the young prospect he faced in Joe Lister.
Weir likes to use his hands and that’s how he scored his win after wearing his opponent out with wrestling early in the fight. Whether we see an early clinch heavy game or not from Weir is to be determined but he looks to have high fight IQ and night ending power with a gas tank to go along with it.
