Joe Lister burst onto the UK bare-knuckle scene with a big win against John Ferguson at BKFC Fight Night Newcastle. In a chaotic one round fight, Lister threw 54 punches against his opponent’s 47 and scored the TKO after a single knockdown at the end of round one.
It’s easy to assume that you have a brawler before you when you toe the line against the Doncaster-based striker but he can balance it well with technical boxing. He’s young in the game of fighting and in life itself debuting at 21 years old. He takes his fitness very seriously and remains in excellent shape in and out of fight camp so the high volume over five rounds shouldn’t be a problem should he ever get there.
