Josh “Jarhead” Krejci is a Missouri-based combat-sports veteran whose path to BKFC has included MMA, kickboxing, BJJ, and bare-knuckle fighting. He has a 1-3 professional MMA record and holds a brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, but his BKFC identity is built around a willingness to stand and trade. Krejci made his BKFC debut in Omaha in 2022, outlasting TJ Benson for a fourth-round knockout, and has compiled a 2-2 BKFC record heading into his July 25 main event matchup with Gaston Reyno in Montevideo.

Krejci is a pressure fighter with a high work rate, deep cardio, and a “kill-or-be-killed” mentality. He is not reliant on a single fight-ending shot; instead, he breaks opponents down by staying in their face, forcing exchanges, and remaining dangerous as the rounds wear on. In his bare-knuckle debut, he used a George Foreman-inspired defensive shell and counterpunching approach to control the action before securing the stoppage. His preference is clear: impose his will on the feet, make the fight physical, and turn every round into a test of toughness.

Krejci’s connection to martial arts began in the United States Marine Corps, where he served in the infantry from 2006 to 2010. The combatives culture, sparring, and grappling competitions around military life gave him an early outlet for competition; after leaving the service, he transitioned into organized kickboxing, then MMA and jiu-jitsu. He has described the gym as a place where he felt at his best after military service, a mindset that has remained central to his career.
