JOSH BURNS

Josh ‘The Hammer’ Burns began his combat sports career in 2006 on the Michigan regional scene. Throughout his MMA career, Burns has gone 10-8 with about half of those fights being fought in Bellator. After a loss to the UFC’s Josh Parisian in 2016, Burns decided to take off the gloves and he hasn’t looked back since. 

Scoring one of the quickest knockouts in BKFC history over Sam Shewmaker is a nice feather in one’s cap. In addition, ‘The Hammer’ has a BK record of *6-8 making him one of the most experienced fighters on the roster. Burns first appeared in the Squared Circle against Chris Sarro who he knocked out cleanly in round two. He went on to lose to Frank Tate and then dominate the aforementioned Shewmaker. 

Josh Burns is an Army Veteran, a family man and a man’s man in addition. He makes fun of himself all the time about fighting at heavyweight, posting about how his diet is going and then showing varieties of food. He loves memes and comedy and his knowledge of how to utilize social media has garnered him a nice following.  

Burns and Shewmaker clash once again at BKFC Fight Night Pechanga in California and the question is will a rivalry form, or will Burns remain dominant out of the two?
