With one of the greatest nicknames in the game, ‘Jobywankenobi’ always expects violence when he toes the line. In his debut within the BKFC resulting in a loss, but more importantly to him, a fight of the night bonus, Joby Steffensmeier is here to entertain. 

Steffensmeier started early in boxing at five years old, and pursued the sport exclusively until he was 12. His mentor and coach passed away just when he felt like he was getting things going at an early age, and he felt like he needed to pivot. He moved to Taekwondo and stuck with it for three years but didn’t love the point fighting aspect vs boxing which he saw as more of a combat sport focusing on violence.

At 15, his brother got into MMA and Joby followed him into the octagon. He fully fell in love with mixed martial arts and continued to hold onto his foundational style of boxing while learning the other arts. That led to a decade long career in MMA and double digit fight of the night bonuses which he continues to pursue over wins. 

Joby Steffensmeier has never won a fight by decision and he loves that aspect of his fight style. With several amateur title fights and wins to his name, he looks to break onto the biggest stage of bare-knuckle fighting and make a name for himself.
