Dakota Highpine carries Montana on his back in and out of the Squared Circle. "MontanaDak" as he's known, made his BKFC debut back at BKFC 29 Montana 2 where he fought in the curtain jerker bout of the evening. He fought to a unanimous decision win and looked good doing it but suffered a skid afterwards losing to Bryan Duran and Ryan Ibsen. Being fairly active for the BKFC, Highpine took a long break by his standards and feels he has something to prove heading into his co-main slot against Eric 'Thuggy Bear' Dodson.

Before signing with the BKFC, the young fighter had a nice amateur boxing record of 12-1 along with an amateur MMA record of 0-2. Clearly, "MontanaDak" prefers a fight on the feet with hands being the weapons of choice. He hopes to make a run towards the top of his featherweight division whose rankings are ironically full of fellow Montana fighters like Kai Stewart and Louie Lopez.

Dakota Highpine enjoys running for causes like sober living and he leads by example for his young son and daughter. When he isn't training, fighting or spending time with his family, Highpine is riding dirt bikes or BMX. With a Native American heritage, surrounding himself with family and friends while keeping a positive attitude are of paramount importance for the young prospect. Look for a long-term contender who will be improving fight after fight for years to come.
