‘Skinny’ Ryan Ibsen began his martial arts career as an amateur back in 2013 and faced a solid level of competition at that level including UFC bantamweight champion, Sean O’Malley twice. He spent his time on the Montana regionals before making his professional debut in BKFC.
Ibsen has an aggressive, high volume style but looks to fight at range and doesn’t mind throwing a few feeler jabs out before entering the pocket and throwing his actual attack. He faced fellow Montana fighter Dakota Highpine in his debut and that long jab set him up for a doctor stoppage win in the second round. During that four minutes, Ibsen threw an impressive 103 shots and landed 38% of those. He doesn’t mind taking one or two to give one because he believes in his power and chin equally.
Expect a mix of a tactical approach and a brawling style when Ibsen toes the line and with most of his fights having ended inside the distance, that trend should continue inside of the Squared Circle.
