Fight Week can be a little tense for some fighters.
Bryan Duran is not one of those fighters.
“I’m feeling better than I’ve ever felt on this Fight Week, I can’t even lie to you,” Duran says with a laugh ahead of his return to the Squared Circle at BKFC 49 on Friday in his hometown of Miami, LIVE on The BKFC App.
“I’m feeling energized – I’m feeling great and I’m ready to go. I can’t wait. I’m excited.”
Duran is undefeated in his first four BKFC fights, with all of his victories coming by stoppage. A spot in the Top 5 featherweight rankings has so far eluded the 28-year-old Duran, but that could change with a big win over Dakota Highpine (1-1) on Friday.
Duran says it would be cool if he was featured in the fresh Top 5 featherweight rankings when they’re updated next week, but he’s far from concerned about it.
“I really don’t care – I’m still going to keep fighting whoever they put in front of me and keep building my record, my stock and my brand.”
Duran’s prediction for Friday is simple – a fifth straight KO.
“He’s not getting out of the second round.”
