Roberto Armas is ready to make his run with BKFC

The battle-tested Roberto Armas is ready to make his run in the stacked BKFC bantamweight division.

The battle-tested Roberto Armas is ready to make his run in the stacked BKFC bantamweight division.
Armas is preparing to meet Chris Garcia, the No. 4 contender in the weight class, at BKFC 70 on March 27 at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL, LIVE worldwide on DAZN.
Armas will be looking to even his record to 4-4; the surging Garcia is unbeaten in his first four trips to the Squared Circle.
One of Armas’ losses came against undefeated BKFC World Bantamweight Champion Alberto Blas and his most recent defeat was in a 145-pound matchup against former BKFC World Featherweight Title challenger Louie Lopez.
“I feel like I’m grossly underestimated, but that’s totally fine with me. I’m OK with it. I’ve been the underdog before and I like it,” the personable Armas says, smiling.
“I work hard and, anybody you put me in there with, we’re going to have a (expletive) fight.”
From the outside looking in, it appears Armas has the opportunity at BKFC 70 to transition from underdog to contender in the bustling BKFC bantamweight division, but he doesn’t necessarily agree with that assessment.
“I think I’m already looked at as a contender. I have an upside down record, but there’s a lot more to your record than just the wins and losses that show up on paper,” he says. “It’s not hard for people to see who you fight. I'm only getting better, and I’ve never said no to anybody.”
