Nothing beats BKFC for Alex Delgado-Lopez.
The fast-rising strawweight has tried her hand at all types of combat sports on her road to the Squared Circle, but nothing matches the rush of BKFC, the world’s fastest growing combat sports promotion.
“BKFC is as real as it gets,” says Delgado-Lopez, who has also competed as a professional in MMA and in gloved boxing.
“BKFC is more of a rush. There’s more action here. There’s nowhere to run with BKFC — your only option is to fight.”
Thankfully that’s right up Delgado-Lopez’s alley.
She looks to climb to 2-0 with a second straight stoppage victory under the BKFC banner on Saturday at BKFC Fight Night Edmonton, LIVE worldwide on The BKFC App from the legendary River Cree Resort & Casino in her hometown of Edmonton, AB, Canada. She takes on Emma Murray.
“Last fight I was hoping to showcase more of my technique, but it turned into a brawl,” Delgado-Lopez says with a laugh. “With this fight, again, I’m looking to show more technique and make this girl box me.
“I don’t think she can out-brawl me, but I know for a fact that she can’t out-box me.”
The 32-year-old Delgado-Lopez loves her role in BKFC’s expansion in Canada, but she’s also more than happy to take her show on the road.
“After another impressive win, I think they’ll be interested in bringing me to (the United States to compete),” she says. “I’m ready for whatever BKFC has in store for me, but I’d just like to keep on winning, moving up the rankings, and eventually fight for the belt.
“Everything is within reach.”
