It was love at first fight for Marc Entenberg.
On Friday at BKFC 48, the well-traveled kickboxing standout took home a victory in his highly anticipated Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship debut – but that wasn’t his biggest takeaway from his first foray in the Squared Circle.
“My biggest takeaways from my BKFC debut was that I love it, and I’m even more excited about the sport than I was before,” Entenberg says after his second-round stoppage victory over Darrick Gates on Friday.
“The fight itself was a blast. I love the crowd, the atmosphere. I love the production of the event. I had a blast in there – it was so raw and real.”
Now that Entenberg has his first BKFC fight under his belt, he’s already checking his inbox for another bout agreement for a return trip to the Squared Circle – ideally at BKFC Asia 5 on Nov. 4 in Thailand, which features kickboxing icons Buakaw and Saenchai in the Main Event.
“Being on the Thailand card is extremely important to me because, for starters, there’s nothing like the Thai crowd – it’s so electric,” says Entenberg, who’s spent ample time training and competing in Thailand.
“I’d love to fight on the same card as two of the most legendary Muay Thai fighters ever, Buakaw and Saenchai – that would be a dream come true. Being on such a legendary card would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
