There’s no debate that Saenchai is one of the greatest kickboxers of all time.

He’s a six-time national champion at the famed Lumpinee Stadium in his native Thailand, the mecca of competitive kickboxing. The former World Muaythai Council champion's record includes over 300 victories as a professional.

Now, the Thai icon is preparing for the next bout of his legendary career – a special rules bare knuckle Thai fight with fellow Thai striking superstar Buakaw, the man widely regarded as the Michael Jordan of Muay Thai kickboxing. The bout will take place at BKFC Thailand 5 on Nov. 4 in Pattaya, LIVE on The BKFC App.

“I’m very excited,” Saenchai says with a smile. “My lifelong dedication and training has led me to this moment. I’m fully prepared to leave everything in the ring. It’s a competition that will showcase my skills, determination and heart.

“The excitement is building, and I can’t wait to see how it unfolds.”

Saenchai has developed a friendship with Buakaw over the years, but he’s looking to make a statement at his pal’s expense in his Squared Circle debut.

“This fight is extremely important. We both share the curiosity of who will emerge as the winner. We’re both confident that we will be the winner. That’s why we’re entering this fight – to determine who truly deserves to be No. 1,” Saenchai says.

“Buakaw’s power is legendary, but I’m banking on my speed and fight IQ,” he adds. “I wouldn’t step into the Squared Circle if I wasn’t ready for victory. It’s difficult to predict Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship fights, but get ready for an electrifying showdown.” 

Bare knuckle fighting is a “bucket list” item for many fighters. They want to compete just once in the Squared Circle. Saenchai is not one of those fighters.

“I’ve always told David Feldman and Nick Chapman that I want to fight for a BKFC World Championship, so let’s see what happens.”
