Everything is going according to Keith Richardson’s plan for his Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship career.
On Friday at BKFC 48 in Albuquerque, NM, the Rock Hill, SC bantamweight improved to 3-0 in the Squared Circle with a second straight, first-round stoppage victory over Derek Perez, LIVE on The BKFC App.
“In a perfect world, it would pretty much be going as it’s been going,” Richardson says. “I’ve been getting to fight often – high-profile fights – and BKFC is taking care of me. When I made the move to BKFC, I wasn’t sure if it was going to be a long-term thing, but it’s going great.”
After three straight impressive wins, Richardson says the next logical step in his career is a shot at BKFC World Bantamweight Champion Reggie Barnett Jr.
“That would be a very technical fight, but I’d really try to push him and bring the dog out of him. I know I can back it up, and I think he’d have a lot of problems with my power,” Richardson says.
“I’m never looking to go five rounds,” he adds. “I don’t like judges being involved in the decision – I’m always looking to finish the fight, and that would definitely be the case against Reggie.”
