Joseph Creer fights for more than a paycheck

Joseph “Dark Knight” Creer is a professional fighter, but he competes for a lot more than a paycheck.

Creer has a lot going for him. The Army vet is a proud family man and business owner. Just this week the Detroit-born, Columbus, GA product graduated with a Masters Degree in Human Resource Management.

But fighting has always held a special place in his heart.

“Fighting makes me feel alive. Fighting gives me purpose. Fighting makes me have value in myself,” Creer says.

“That’s why I do it.”

Creer’s combat resume includes a spotless 5-0 record as a professional boxer, and an impressive 7-2-1 record as a pro MMA fighter. Most recently, Creer earned his first victory under the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship banner with a third-round KO over Ronnie Glass at BKFC 51 on Sept. 29 in Salem, VA.

Creer can hardly wait to return to the Squared Circle, but he’s even more excited to get back in the lab to sharpen his skills heading into his 2024 campaign.

“What I’m doing now is making the necessary adjustments so I can go out there and have a better outing every time I step in the ring,” he says. “I’m going to take the next few months to make some adjustments to my game.

“And I’m not talking about highlight-reel stuff – I’m not a highlight reel guy,” he adds. “I’m super fundamental, at best.”

Creer has high hopes for himself and his strong fundamentals in the BKFC Squared Circle.

“I want to make sure that I get enough meaningful fights so someday I can compete for the title at 185 pounds.”
