Jayme "ATOMBOMB" Hinshaw makes history with explosive KO at BKFC 28

August 29, 2022

Jayme “ATOMBOMB” Hinshaw kicked off her BKFC career with a bang on Saturday.

In the first ever women’s 105-pound (atomweight) matchup in company history, the explosive Hinshaw defeated Cassie Robb by KO just 78 seconds into their bout at BKFC 28 in Albuquerque.

“I actually didn’t realize it was the first atomweight fight in BKFC history when I signed the bout agreement. But when I found out that was the case, I thought that was awesome. It’s amazing to be a part of history,” Hinshaw said.

“To literally be in the history books – that’s something that nobody can take away and it can never be erased,” she added. “It’s an incredible feeling. It’s an honor.”

Many people admittedly weren’t expecting to see such a brutal KO in the women’s 105-pound division. Luckily, Hinshaw isn’t one of those people.

“I’ve had opponents before that hit really hard, and I know I hit really hard too,” she said with a laugh. “Some of us smaller fighters can really pack a good punch.”
