Howard Davis wants to run it back with Jimmie Rivera after majority draw at BKFC 26

June 27, 2022

Howard “HD” Davis wants to run it back with Jimmie Rivera.

At BKFC 26 on Friday, Davis and Rivera fought to a majority draw in Hollywood, FL. Davis is the No. 1-ranked contender in the BKFC featherweight division, while the former UFC headliner Rivera was making his highly anticipated bare knuckle fighting debut.

“The only opponent I see right now is Jimmie,” Davis said. “I’ll fight whoever they put in front of me, but to me that’s the fight that makes the most sense right now. Let’s remove all doubt.”

Davis sees himself as the rightful winner from Friday night, but he’s also quick to praise his opponent.

“I thought I did enough to win, but I tip my hat to the vet for pushing me to new limits. He's the real deal,” Davis said.

“It was a close fight … The fight was entertaining. It could’ve gone either way with what the judges were looking for. We both exchanged good blows. Let's do it again.”
