Erick "El Travieso" Lozano took care of business at BKFC 56.
At the sold-out Maverik Center on Saturday, the battle-tested Holland, MI fighter improved to 2-2 in the Squared Circle with a third-round KO over hometown Salt Lake City fighter Mike Jones in the light-heavyweight division. Lozano floored Jones twice en route to the stoppage 51 seconds into the third frame.
“I went in there, did my thing, and got what I wanted – another KO and a return to the win column,” Lozano says. “I took a bit of damage – he was longer than I expected – but I’m pretty happy with my performance. You have to take some to give some.”
Having already shared the Squared Circle with top dogs Lorenzo Hunt and Francesco Ricchi, Lozano wants to mix it up with the best of the best in the stacked BKFC light-heavyweight division.
“I’d love to fight a Top 5 opponent at BKFC 57 on Feb. 2 in Hollywood, FL. I’ve already fought some of the best guys in the world, so I’m ready for whatever,” Lozano says.
“I’m not getting any younger, so this is my time.
