Bryce “Baby Yaga” Henry is quickly establishing himself as one of the most intriguing prospects on the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship roster.

The 22-year-old Broward County, FL product is preparing for the biggest opportunity of his blossoming career. He looks to climb to 3-0 with a third straight stoppage victory over Tom Shoaff (4-4, 4 KOs) in the Co-Main Event of BKFC 49 on Aug. 25 in Miami, LIVE on The BKFC App. 

A fan-favorite since his debut at BKFC 2 in 2018, Shoaff is the No. 4 contender in the stacked BKFC lightweight division. He’s coming off a back-and-forth battle with undefeated BKFC World Lightweight Champion Luis Palomino. 

Shoaff has an impressive resume, but Henry is unfazed by his veteran opponent’s body of work, so his prediction for fight night is fairly straightforward.

“I respect him. My hat is off to him – he’s a great fighter. But I don’t feel like he has anything for me. I’m going to go in there and outclass him,” Henry says.

“I’d say (I’ll finish him in) the third round,” he adds. “But if it happens before then, I wouldn’t be surprised.”

Henry doesn’t mean to sound arrogant, but over a decade of grueling work in the gym has made him supremely confident. It doesn’t hurt that he’s also 6-0 with four KOs as a professional gloved boxer.

“I’ve got years of experience,” he says. 

“I got beat up a lot when I was younger in this sport, and I feel like you have to do that – you have to get tested. I’ve been through hell already, so this is nothing.” 

If Henry extends his undefeated streak in Miami, he believes a shot at the BKFC World Lightweight Championship is the next logical step for his career. He’s proud and excited to be with BKFC, but he has goals that transcend the Squared Circle.

“I want to be the first fighter to ever hold a belt with BKFC and in gloved boxing at the same time – I want to do both,” he says. “My main goal is to hold both belts at the same time, and be at the top of both sports.”
