After going 5-0-1 as a professional boxer, Florida native Kenmon Evans will toe-the-line for the very first time, with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship at BKFC 12 on September 11.
"I'm excited man. I just can't wait to get back into action," Evans told Fight Bananas podcast host David Van Auken about his more than two year layoff from competition.
"This Friday coming up, I"m back," Evans said.
"It means a lot to me, " Evans said of the upcoming opportunity. "I always wanted to fight in my city, fight in my home, my people, and just the whole 386 (area code). When you're talking about the 386, you're just talking about me. No matter who the fighter or whatever, you come here, you are going to have to come and see me."
Evans will square up against Robert Washington who is also making his debut with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. The fight is part of the BKFC 12 card headlined by former UFC welterweight title contender Thiago Alves and Julian Lane who takes the fight on short notice after Phil Baroni was removed from the card.
