Leandro Torres recently became the first fighter to earn a Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship contract at a BKFC Prospect Series event.
Torres accomplished the feat with his third-round TKO victory over Harry Cruz at the inaugural BKFC Prospect Series card in Miami, LIVE on The BKFC App.
After a lifetime of competing in martial arts, Torres feels at home with BKFC now that the ink has dried on his agreement with the world’s fastest growing combat sports promotion.
“I feel very good – I’m happy and very grateful to BKFC for this amazing opportunity. Bare knuckle fighting is different from everything else; it’s very addicting to me,” Torres says.
“I feel good that I did enough to earn a contract, but I know I must continue to work hard as I take on tougher opponents. BKFC is the best franchise on the planet, so I must rise to the occasion.”
Torres hails from Argentina. With his BKFC contract secured, he can continue to train and sharpen his skills in the United States. But more than train, Torres is ready to work.
“I’d like to fight as soon as possible,” he says.
“My goals for the next 12 months are to build my record, always be in the running for ‘Fight of the Night,’ and be able to climb the rankings to get closer to a BKFC World Championship fight.”
