Geane Herrera is no stranger to the big stage.
He returns to action in the Main Event at BKFC 32 in Orlando on Nov. 5, LIVE on the BKFC app. Prior to signing with BKFC in 2021, Herrera competed four times in the UFC’s Octagon.
Standing across from Herrera, of course, is Reggie Barnett Jr., who won the Interim BKFC World Bantamweight Championship in his most recent fight. When the bell rings for this Main Event, non-title bout in Orlando, Barnett Jr. will make history as the first fighter to compete 10 times in the BKFC Squared Circle.
Herrera – or “The Revolutionary,” as he’s known amongst fighting fans around the world – is ready to rise to the occasion and climb to 2-0 under the BKFC banner. He's also climbing the scale; Herrera is the No. 2-ranked BKFC flyweight contender and this fight will be in the bantamweight division.
“My opponent is very decorated, he’s got a lot of experience in fighting. He’s a good boxer, but it’s nothing I haven’t dealt with before,” Herrera says.
“I think it’s going to be a war. My only goal for this fight is to go in there and break this man mentally, even though I know that’s not going to be easy. I want to show that I did that to that man.”
Herrera doesn’t have any plans to return to MMA. He’s got big goals with BKFC, the fastest growing combat sport on the planet.
“Eventually, I want to hold two belts here,” Herrera says.
“This company is only going to continue to grow. Every event it gets bigger and bigger,” he adds. “I’m very grateful for this opportunity.”
