Anthony Garrett riding historic KO streak into BKFC 76

June 20, 2025

The unbeaten Texas heavyweight is grateful he isn't paid by the hour

Anthony Garrett is grateful he isn’t paid by the hour.

In Garrett’s BKFC premiere last August, the Dallas, TX big man set the record for the fastest knockout in the history of BKFC’s heavyweight division with a 16-second stoppage victory over John Orr. Just three months later, Garrett returned to the Squared Circle and broke his own record with a 12-second finish over Ultimate Fighting Championship vet Lavar Johnson.

On Saturday at BKFC 76, Garrett returns to action against Haze Wilson at the iconic Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, TX, LIVE on DAZN.

Making history is great, but a big part of the towering, 6-foot-5 Garrett hopes his third trip the Squared Circle lasts a little longer than his first two matchups with the world’s fastest growing combat sports promotion.

“Absolutely,” he says.

“John landed one shot but I didn’t really feel it because I was so in the moment. I love Lavar to death, but he didn’t land a single shot on me. I’d like to get a little more live practice in as I work my way up the rankings.

“Quick stoppages are good, but I want the full BKFC experience.”

A third straight impressive victory on Saturday will set Garrett up nicely in BKFC’s stacked heavyweight division. He sees the BKFC World Heavyweight Championship belt around his waist within the next 12 months.

“I think this win should put me in the Top 5, but I’m not the one who controls that. All I can do is make as much noise as I can when I’m in there,” Garrett says.

“I’ll keep on winning until it’s undeniable.”

Editor's note: Anthony would like to give a special thanks to his daughter (Lucy Jo), his girlfriend (Ana Lato), and his parents (Chris and Linda Garrett).
