Andrew Angelcor rolled the dice and scored big Saturday.
With just 10 days to prepare, Angelcor stepped in on short notice to lock horns with Van Vo in lightweight action at BKFC 31 on the weekend in Denver, LIVE on the BKFC app.
The hard-hitting Barstow, CA fighter improved his record to 2-0 in the Squared Circle with a third-round knockout over Vo.
“I wanted to show that I can be more skillful in my approach, and that I could pull the trigger when it was time to pull the trigger,” Angelcor says. “It was a little sloppy, but overall I did what I wanted to do and got the job done.”
Now that Angelcor has his second victory under his belt, he's hungry to test his skills against the big dogs in BKFC's stacked lightweight division.
“I’m ready for somebody in the Top 5,” Angelcor says, referencing Bobby Taylor (No. 5), Martin Trey Brown (No. 4), James Lilley (No. 3), Robbie Peralta (No. 2) and Chad Mendes (No. 1).
“If you’re in the Top 5, let’s go.”
