Born in Greenwood, South Carolina, and raised in Philadelphia from the age of eight, Malon Griffin grew up in a tough environment where fighting became second nature. Raised by his mother, Griffin was frequently bullied as a child but refused to back down, earning a reputation for standing up to those who targeted him. Although he dreamed of training at the legendary Joe Frazier Boxing Gym, that opportunity never came. Instead, he found his path into combat sports at 19, beginning his journey at Martinez BJJ. Outside the Squared Circle, Griffin is a devoted father of three—two boys and a girl—and enjoys fishing with his children, landscaping, gardening, and working toward his dream of building a self-sustaining farm and homestead. Though raised Christian, Griffin now practices Islam, influenced by the Muslim community that surrounded him growing up.

Griffin made his amateur debut at 20 under the XCC banner after developing his skills in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, boxing, and Muay Thai. While he considers himself a well-rounded martial artist, boxing has always been his greatest strength. He compiled a perfect 4-0 Muay Thai record, captured an XCC championship, and steadily built a reputation as a dangerous striker. Outside of fighting, Griffin works in the concrete industry through his union while also operating his own business, but his ultimate goal is to make combat sports his full-time career. With an aggressive boxing style and a relentless work ethic, Griffin is determined to build a lasting name for himself in BKFC.
