Inaugural BKFC Featherweight Champion
'King' Kai Stewart began his mixed martial arts career as a kid in high school where he was a three-time AA Montana state finalist, including a state champion in 2018. Wrestling has taught Stewart how to find a way to win in BKFC no matter what advantages or disadvantages on paper he may hold against his opponent. His winning ways allowed him to become the first ever BKFC featherweight champion when he defeated rival Louie Lopez in dominant fashion.
Stewart will put immense pressure on whoever toes the line against him and his cardio is superior to most in any weight class. This allows him to go 100 miles an hour from bell to bell. Despite the pressure and pushing of the pace which tends to lead to a more decision-heavy style, Stewart can finish at 145 and has done so in the past.
Formerly known as 'Hefty Bag,' Stewart fights out of Montana but was born in Kansas. Growing up around fighting and submerging himself into that culture has gained him some high profile enemies, mostly other fighters over the years, and he leans into that bit of controversy.
Outside of fighting Stewart remains extremely busy. He coaches youth wrestling to help shape the next generation of combat sports athletes from his area. He also knows how to enjoy the finer things in life whether it’s fishing, grilling outside, enjoying a good adult beverage or golfing. He’s recently gotten into professional wrestling and made his debut in a small promotion. Stewart also dabbles in standup comedy and rapping a little, even having created a diss track towards some other fighters out there talking about him a little too much.
Enjoy a unique style when Kai Stewart enters the Squared Circle and as the first ever 145 pound champ, his name is forever in the history books in the world’s fastest growing combat sport.
