JOHN HOWARD

John ‘Doomsday’ Howard has an impressive MMA run to his name with two separate stints in the UFC, a 3-3 record in the PFL and has fought in a slew of other high to medium level MMA promotions. With an overall record of 29-19.

The Boston-born brawler was raised by his mother and sister in the Dorchester neighborhood, a historic community with quite a few notable figures having come from it. He’s a naturally gifted athlete and competitor having played football and basketball as a kid. Howard got into martial arts after high school when he learned how to grapple and later became known for his MMA wrestling skills despite not having any formal experience in the sport. His diverse skills can be attributed to training in different countries like Thailand, Brazil and across the U.S. and high level coaches.

Howard will bring ‘Doomsday’ power into the squared circle and a high level of understanding the art of hand to hand combat. He runs the Doomsday Defense Dojo which is one of the only black-owned gyms in the area of South Easton, Massachusetts.

Being diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in 2016, Howard is a major advocate for athletes with Autism. He has been able to hone in on his natural gifts and get the most out of his skillset with an obsessive ability to perfect his craft.
