Laddy Mejia is a Peruvian bare-knuckle fighter that got her combat sports career started in boxing. While not finding much success in the sport, Mejia is an accomplished Sambo practitioner that pivoted nicely into the Squared Circle by winning in her debut against Sarah Click.

BKFC fans need to give Mejia a chance to grow in the Squared Circle to what levels she can truly rise to. Despite the win in her debut, Mejia got off to a slow start and seemed like she needed to find her range and feel out what it was like to fight professionally without gloves - to be expected. Mejia threw only 23 strikes in the first round but her volume increased throughout the fight to throw a total of 316 strikes and landed almost ⅔ of them. With an impressive showing in her first fight, it will be very interesting to see what she can develop into.

Laddy Mejia is clearly a fan of fighting. Her social media is flooded with pictures of herself with various BKFC fighters and she makes friends with many of the best fighters on the roster including the heavyweight boogeyman, Leonardo Perdomo. If someone like him is teaching you the ins and outs of bare-knuckle fighting, the sky is the limit for the young strawweight.
