FRANKIE GAVIN

Frankie Gavin is a British professional boxer with a 26-4 record upon his BKFC debut. The Birmingham native will first toe the line in front of his people at BKFC 77 Birmingham Tierney vs Christie against BK veteran Jack Dugdale.

During his boxing career to this point, Gavin held the British and Commonwealth welterweight titles between 2012 and 2015, and has challenged once for the IBF welterweight title in 2015. He qualified for the 2008 Olympics but missed weight and was unable to fight which was a letdown because he was called England’s best hope for getting a medal that year.

Gavin also has an impressive amateur career under his belt in being England's first winner of the Amateur World Championships in 2007. He caused two major upsets that year when he beat Romal Amanov, the previous year’s silver medalist and a Russian prospect, Aleksei Tishchenko.
