ANTHONY HOLMES

Anthony Holmes is an English bare-knuckle fighter, fighting out of Castleford. He actually began his combat sports career in amateur MMA where he went 3-0 before realizing fighting without gloves is better for him. He remained undefeated until he faced Danny Christie at BKFC 40 where he headlined in his home country. Before entering BKFC, Holmes was a multiple BK British champion, European champion and world champion.

Holmes will slightly change his approach in the Squared Circle depending on what his opponent gives him but he’s most effective as a counter striker from range. He will utilize a lot of movement, never leaving his head on the centerline and bouncing in and out of the pocket.

The light heavyweight looked to bounce back after back to back defeats against Christie and Bart Krol. He did so when he faced the South African, Chaz Wasserman at BKFC 68 in Newcastle with a big round two KO. Fighting is in Anthony Holmes blood and he is rarely out of the gym whether he has a fight lined up or not. You like to see someone so dedicated at making a run at the highest level of his sport and expect Holmes to bounce back better each time out.
