A Washington, D.C. native, Eric Westbury spent his early years focused on an NFL dream, playing college football at Hampton and Old Dominion. Combat sports entered the picture when he joined a boxing gym to stay in shape, eventually turning a workout routine into a career-defining passion. Westbury is deeply humble, crediting his father for his resilient "chin up" mindset and his mother for keeping him grounded. Above all, he is a dedicated family man who considers his wife "his world" and the cornerstone of his motivation.

Westbury’s journey to the Squared Circle required persistence; he attended three separate BKFC tryouts before finally securing a spot on the roster. Training under Coach Gable Gusavel at Kaizen and sharpening his skills at Capital MMA, he built a foundation in BJJ and Muay Thai to complement his Penn Regional boxing championship background.

After a stunning knockout win in his Prospect Series debut, he caught the eye of BKFC brass as a high-potential talent. Despite taking a year off due to a personal tragedy, Westbury returned knowing it was now or never. He utilizes an unpredictable style that allows him to switch between technical boxing and brawling which he believes is a hard puzzle for his opponent to solve. Driven and eager, he fights with the mindset that he must constantly work to prove he belongs in the fight game.
