Donny ‘Terrier’ Matos fights out of Villahermosa Tabasco, Mexico but his roots go through Brazil. Born in Serrinha Bahia, Matos has been fighting since 2012 and earned a 26-12 record in professional MMA.
Fighting runs through Matos’ blood, which is why he runs a self defense and tactical training program called Terrier Combat System. They train hand to hand combat and do some firearm training as well.
Matos' wife also runs a small business in the form of a beauty Salon. The two motivate each other to get the most out of life and Matos is continuing his education in PhysEd.
Donny Matos’ fighting style would best be described as well rounded. Most of his MMA wins have come by submission so in the Squared Circle, we can expect some clinchwork and with his extensive training, expect high fight IQ and lightning speed hands.
