DERON CARLIS

Deron Carlis has been in the fight game professionally since 2014 and holds an MMA record of 9-9. He cut his teeth as an amateur two years prior and racked up five wins while suffering just three losses at that level. At the height of his career which was his most recent MMA fight at the end of 2023, Carlis fought for the Synergy FC 170 pound title but lost there via rear naked choke. Lucky for him and for us, he will be able to focus on his striking in the BKFC which he thrives doing.

Nearly every fight that involves Carlis ends before the final bell rings and that pattern is expected to continue in the promotion. His debut is slated to take place in Kansas City on August 16, where he will face Theo Brown, a fellow debutante. 

Deron Carlis is a U.S. Army Veteran and a massive fan of the second amendment. He’s also a father and husband and you can tell instantly that his family is his identity over his fighting or his military experience.
