Andrei Arlovski

Andrei ‘Pitbull’ Arlovski is a Belarusian-American mixed martial artist and one of the greatest heavyweights in UFC history. His rivalry with Tim Sylvia through the early 2000’s is one of many of the great rivalries throughout the history of combat sports. His impressive run at the highest level of MMA spans a quarter century and he’s fought the who’s who of the heavyweight division for multiple fight generations. His resume includes Tom Aspinall, Francis Ngannou, Alistair Overeem, Frank Mir, Stipe Miocic, Fedor and much much more.

Arlovski became the M-1 Global Euro champion in 2000 and went on to become UFC champion in 2005. He comes into the BKFC Squared Circle with a storied career that should be highly regarded for both competition level and longevity.

If you are a fan of professional fighting, you are familiar with his fighting style which has evolved over the years a bit from power puncher to more technical striker. He has remained dangerous on the feet through his years and without the threat of a ground game from his opponent, we may get to see that vintage ‘Pitbull’ power that we remember!

Outside of fighting, Arlovski has some acting experience having appeared in movies like The Equalizer 2, 8 of Diamonds and others. He is a major advocate against dog fighting and used his pitbull, Maximus as a figurehead of his stance on what he called inhumane and torturous to the breed. He is also an Orthodox Christian, a major second amendment supporter, father and husband.
