The story of Kyle ‘The Irishman’ McElroy is one of those “feel good” stories without a doubt. He made his professional debut after catching eyes at a BKFC tryout session. He went on a three-fight skid and essentially had his back against the wall. Either give this fighting thing your all or hang it up - and hang it up he did not! He would be the first to tell you he was not putting his best foot forward when he debuted. He began shedding weight and completely transformed his body from an obese 300 pounder to a shredded 200 pounder. It’s no coincidence he won his first fight in the BKFC after making that change.

Despite looking like a guy that would throw hands with a complete stranger if they asked him the time, McElroy is a soft-spoken, very kind individual when he’s not in the Squared Circle. His style, after the weight loss changed dramatically and doing tape study before his fight against Richard Montano is pointless. He’s very calculated and doesn’t only rely on pressure these days. With soaring confidence, he’s going to be a problem for any 185er he faces.

McElory prides himself in his ability to inspire people struggling with weight loss and his social media has blown up because of his transformational success. He’s made fundamental changes to his lifestyle but still enjoys partying with the boys and letting loose just a bit out of camp.
