DRAKO RODRIGUEZ

Drako Rodriguez’s promotional debut was against Will Shutt at BKFC 33 in Omaha. He won that fight via TKO in round three after scoring four knockdowns and was also knocked down in that matchup. Rodriguez cut his combat sports teeth in MMA as an amateur in 2015 but has been active in boxing as well with a total of six bouts and four knockout wins. 

Rodriguez landed a spot in the UFC after a first round triangle choke victory on the Contender Series back in 2020 but struggled to find his footing in the promotion. The Sioux City-based striker leans on his boxing which is very technical and tight from a technique perspective. You can expect a mix of basic, proven combinations like one-twos and three-twos that are executed in textbook fashion. 

There’s no doubt that Rodriguez is eyeing a rankings spot in the BKFC’s featherweight or lightweight division depending on where he can climb the fastest. He’s a bit of an anime fan with a sense of humor and his family and friends mean the world to him as shown on his social media.
