The Rivera Era is here.

On Friday, the red-hot Nathan Rivera smashed his way to 2-0 in the Squared Circle with an 82-second stoppage victory over Dustin Garrett at the sold-out Salisbury Center in Manassas, VA. That’s now back-to-back, first-round finishes for the 26-year-old Atlanta featherweight prospect.

Rivera made a major statement Friday to combat sports fans around the world. If that wasn’t enough, he also hand delivered a pair of handwritten notes to BKFC brass.

“I gave one letter to Chris ‘Lights Out’ Lytle. That one said, ‘Dear 145ers, welcome to the Rivera Era.’ I gave that to him beforehand and asked him to open it up after I handled my business in the ring,” Rivera says.

“The second letter was to Mr. Feldman. It said, ‘Welcome to the Rivera Era,’ as well and underneath it I wrote, ‘Multi-fight contract’ with three question marks. I’m gunning for that multi-fight deal so I can solidify myself in the 145-pound division with BKFC.”

Rivera is more than happy to fight whoever BKFC Matchmaker Nate Shook has in mind for him. He’s not picky in that regard, but he’d love to return to action at BKFC’s hugely anticipated KnuckleMania event on April 27 in Los Angeles.

“I’d love to fight in front of all my family out there,” Rivera says with a smile.

“The fact that it’s KnuckleMania is also extremely enticing.”
