Rico DiSciullo was born for BKFC.
The Peabody, MA product made a statement in his promotional premiere in February, flooring Quintan Foye five times en route to the third-round TKO victory, LIVE on DAZN from the sold-out Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT.
DiSciullo accomplished a lot in his previous career as a professional MMA fighter, most recently finishing as a semifinalist on the UFC’s The Ultimate Fighter reality show. DiSciullo hasn’t closed the door on more MMA bouts in the future, but his action-packed arrival with BKFC, the world’s fastest growing combat sports promotion, has reinvigorated his fighting career.
“There couldn’t be a better format for my strengths as a fighter than BKFC. The things that I’m best at are the things that take you the furthest in this organization. I can clinch, I can dirty box, I can use my hands to manipulate my opponents. I don’t move like a professional boxer either; my movement and style will be a problem for everybody in BKFC,” DiSciullo says.
“This (expletive) is made for me.”
DiSciullo returns to the Squared Circle against Zach Pannell in featherweight action on June 14, LIVE worldwide on The BKFC App from the legendary Mohegan Sun.
DiSciullo has long been one of New England’s top MMA athletes. He sees the region becoming a major hotbed for the sport of bare knuckle fighting in the years to come. He’s eager to steal the show at BKFC’s return to New England and take a big step closer to becoming the region’s first BKFC World Champion.
“I want a lot of experience in this sport and I want to be a World Champion. As long as I can stay healthy and keep things going, the sky’s the limit,” he says.
“I’ll run through anybody they have for me.”
