Rick Caruso is out to prove a point at BKFC 75

May 20, 2025

The West Virginia fighter is hunting for his 2nd straight victory in New Mexico

“Slick” Rick Caruso is set on leaving BKFC 75 with three paychecks.

One check for showing up on weight, another for getting the win against Derek Perez on June 6 at the legendary Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque, NM, and a third paycheck for “Fight of the Night” or “Knockout of the Night.”

“I never want ‘Fight of the Night,’ but I know this is going to be an absolutely insane fight, regardless of how long it lasts. We share the same mentality and we’re both extremely aggressive. Unless one of us goes to sleep quickly, it’s going to be ‘Fight of the Night,’” Caruso says ahead of his showdown with Perez, which will air LIVE worldwide on DAZN.

“We’re going to stand in the ring and beat the (expletive) out of each other,” he adds. “Neither one of us is going to back down an inch in there.”

Caruso is hunting for his second straight/third overall BKFC victory. He’s eager to make a statement to the millions of fans watching worldwide on DAZN — and to himself.

“This fight is extremely important not just professionally, but personally,” the battle-tested Princeton, WV bantamweight says.

“There’s some stuff that I’m ready to prove to myself. Other than that, I’m just in there because I love to fight.”
