A little bit of redemption is waiting for Taylor “Killa Bee” Starling in Albuquerque, NM.
At Albuquerque’s Revel Arena on Jan. 27, Starling meets Jenny “Savage” Clausius (3-2) in a highly anticipated rematch at the next BKFC Prospect Series event, LIVE on The BKFC App.
Starling and Clausius first did battle as professional MMA fighters in 2019. Clausius brought home the victory by strikes in the third round that night in Kentucky. Both fighters have since dropped their gloves and become two of the most popular female combatants in the world of bare knuckle fighting.
“Me and Jenny have history, so I’m excited to run it back and avenge my loss. She’s tough and she’s been running her mouth quite a bit, so I’m really excited to fight her,” Starling says.
“I’m ready to prove that I’m the better fighter.”
More important than that, the 27-year-old Starling is hungry to avoid a third straight loss in the Squared Circle after starting her BKFC career with three straight victories.
“I’m not stupid; I know there’s a lot riding on this for me. I don’t want another loss on my record, but I thrive being under that pressure,” Starling says. “There’s definitely a weight on my shoulders, but I thrive under these types of conditions, so I’m very excited.”
Starling’s goal for 2024 is to compete as consistently as she can in the Squared Circle, kicking off with a return to the win column in New Mexico.
“I think I’m going to finish Jenny,” she says.
“I keep visualizing it over and over in my head, and that’s how I see it playing out. I don’t think she’s changed much as a fighter, and I’ve gotten so much better.”
