Randy Costa brings the opposite of peace to BKFC's featherweight division

June 18, 2025

The unbeaten Massachusetts fighter is ready to do damage at 145 pounds

Randy Costa made a first impression to remember in his BKFC premiere on Saturday.

Under the bright lights of the sold-out Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT, the dynamic Taunton, MA featherweight sent Nicky Burgos to the canvas twice en route to a first-round victory in his first trip to the Squared Circle, LIVE worldwide on The BKFC App.

“It was picture perfect,” Costa says now that the dust has settled from his impressive debut.

“It was an exciting fight, and I came out of it unscathed. I cut a nice little promo, made a little noise after my fight, and I think it sets me up really nicely in the promotion.”

Costa isn’t wasting any time now that he has his foot in the door in the stacked BKFC featherweight division. He’s keen on a quick turnaround in the Squared Circle — ideally on Aug. 2 at BKFC's hugely anticipated return to Sturgis, SD at the iconic Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

Costa, a motorcycle enthusiast, sees himself leaving South Dakota with another finish for his highlight reel and a new Harley Davidson to bring home to New England.

“I think that’s only fitting,” the personable Costa says with a laugh.

That being said, the Ultimate Fighting Championship vet has longer-term goals with the world’s fastest growing combat sports promotion. He’s already eyeing the top prize in BKFC’s fully loaded 145-pound weight class — an eventual shot at undefeated BKFC World Featherweight Champion “King” Kai Stewart.

“Kai is a fantastic fighter, but I believe I can beat him. I’m here to make some noise and become a household name with BKFC,” Costa says.

“I don’t believe there’s anybody like me on the BKFC roster, and I’m hungry to keep proving that.”
