Quintan “The Hitman” Foye doesn’t want easy assignments.
The Reidsville, NC product's last three opponents in the Squared Circle — Justin Ibarrola, Ryan Reber and Rico DiSciullo — boast a combined BKFC record of 15-1, with their sole loss coming to BKFC World Bantamweight Champion Alberto Blas.
Many fighters want to protect their record at all costs and avoid high-stakes challenges in their career. “The Hitman” is not one of those fighters.
“It’s my heart and my mindset,” Foye says when asked why he’s more than happy to take on the toughest opponents available.
“Everybody bleeds just like I bleed,” he adds. “A lot of guys want to carefully build their resume, but I don’t care about my resume. I just go out there to fight and put on a show because this is the fight business and that’s what the fans pay to see.”
Business is good for Foye.
The 33-year-old bantamweight returns to action for the second time this year on June 14 against Lardy Navarro at the iconic Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT, LIVE worldwide on The BKFC App.
Navarro is 2-1 in his BKFC career, with both of his wins coming by stoppage. Foye is more than happy to share the Squared Circle with another rising star in the stacked BKFC bantamweight division — but he isn’t anybody’s stepping stone.
“I see myself getting the stoppage in the third round,” Foye says. “I’m looking to really make a statement with this fight.”
Foye would like to fight five times in 2025.
“I’d like to be in the Top 5,” he says when asked where he’d like to be one year from today. “In the next 12 months, I’d like to be at the front of the line for the title.
“I’ll take out whoever I have to to get there.”
