Karla Alvarez introduced herself in style at the recent BKFC Prospect Series event in Albuquerque, NM.
At the sold-out Revel Arena, Alvarez entertained her hometown crowd with a first-round TKO victory over Brittany Horton.
“It went a lot better than I thought it might,” Alvarez says with a laugh when recapping her successful debut.
“I fell in love with bare knuckle, and I think I’ll do well in the sport. I think it suits me better than MMA.”
Bare knuckle fighting isn’t for everyone. That’s exactly what the BKFC Prospect Series is for – to separate intriguing prospects from fighters who don’t belong in the world-famous Squared Circle. Alvarez proved herself as the former at the jam-packed Revel Arena.
“I really liked it,” she says. “This sport demands more out of you, it pushes you to your limit. You can’t hide in the corner at BKFC.”
Alvarez says she wants to put on a more technical performance if she gets another shot in the Squared Circle. She believes she can go far with the world’s fastest growing combat sports promotion.
“I have heart, I work hard,” she says. “I know I can beat these girls.”
