Jonathan Miller eager to make up for lost time at BKFC 42

Jonathan Miller has a high pain tolerance.

When a 180-pound piece of metal fell on his arm before his most recent fight in January, it wasn’t the intense pain of the injury that stung the most. The worst part, he says, was that the accident forced the 30-year-old Pensacola, FL fighter to withdraw from his highly anticipated return to the BKFC Squared Circle.

“That’s the first time I’ve had to pull out of a fight, and that’s definitely what hurt me the most,” says Miller, who’s 1-0 under the BKFC banner after scoring a first-round KO in his debut in November.

After a long road to recovery, Miller is back and ready to make up for lost time. He takes on the debuting Dustin Long in cruiserweight action at BKFC 42 on May 12 in Greenville, SC, LIVE on The BKFC App.

Long is a seasoned fighter with pro boxing and pro MMA experience on his resume. He stands at 6-foot-5 – nearly half a foot taller than Miller – and has knockout power in both hands. None of that worries Miller.

“I’m going to win. I’m not going to call what round it will be in, but I’m going to win,” Miller says. “I’m going to pick him apart – that’s what I’ve been training for.”

Miller’s goal is to be in title contention for the BKFC World Cruiserweight Championship by the end of 2023, starting with a big win in South Carolina. He’s willing to do whatever it takes to reach the top of the division.

“I’ll fight as much as they let me,” he says with a laugh. “I’m good to go every month if they want me.”
