Jared “Captain Deadpool” Warren is all smiles.

On Saturday, he knocked out Danny Christie, the No. 1 contender in BKFC’s light-heavyweight division, in the first round of their Main Event showdown at BKFC 56 in Christie’s hometown of Leeds, UK. On Monday, Warren quietly celebrated his birthday at home in Florida.

Warren only wants one thing for his birthday this year – the next shot at BKFC World Light-Heavyweight Champion Lorenzo “The Juggernaut” Hunt (10-1).

“He’s the only person I want to fight right now. It’s not that I have a vendetta against him – he’s just the one with the belt, which is what I’ve wanted all along,” says Warren, who improved to 6-2, 1 NC after Saturday’s victory.

Hunt sits second to only Luis Palomino (9-0) on the BKFC Pound-for-Pound Rankings. Hunt has the most victories (10) and stoppages (eight) in BKFC history. If Hunt wins his next fight, he’ll be the first combatant in BKFC history to have his hand raised in victory in 10 consecutive bouts.

Warren has tremendous respect for Hunt and his accomplishments, but he vividly sees the BKFC World Light-Heavyweight Championship belt around his waist in 2024.

“I don’t think it would go more than two or three rounds,” Warren says when asked for a prediction for a showdown with Hunt.

“I think he has a history of opponents giving him too much respect and not really going after him, but I’d go after him the same way I attack all of my opponents. After putting a few big shots on him, I think we’d see a side of him that we haven’t seen too often over the years.”
